FCT Sweden is a Swedish innovation company that develops highly qualified fuel cells.

Our main product, the micro fuel cell Lamina, has a unique design that allows it to be mounted in limited spaces where ordinary fuel cells cannot fit. At the same time, Lamina delivers the highest possible energy density per volume and surface area, which makes it ideal for e.g. e-bikes, logistics robots (AGV) and driverless trucks (AMR).

We have a lot going on and need to expand our development team of 20 people with a Senior Embedded Software Engineer. You will be a member of a multinational team based in our headquarters in Upplands Väsby.

Your future role

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Fuel Cell Technology Sweden, you will play an important role in the multi discipline product development team. You will be part of the fast-moving team developing new technical fuel cell products for the future. You will follow the products all the way from concept drawings to finished products.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test functions and application software to control micro fuel cells and fuel cell systems.

• Designing and deploying software tools supporting fuel cell and system testing in our hydrogen lab and in the field.

• Manage the software asset all through the product life cycle.

• Document intelligibly your work as a natural way of working.

• Enjoy collaboration with team members, share your knowledge and continuously improve with the team into best practices in embedded software development.

• University degree in software engineering, electronics, embedded systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Vast experience in C/C++ and Python, in real-time control systems is required.

• Knowledge about embedded real-time operating systems e.g. FreeRTOS

• Experience in developing applications, GUI and cloud-based database solutions is a plus.

• Systems Thinking: Understanding complex systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Proven track record in designing, implementing, testing and delivering successful software products from concept to launch.


• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills.

• Communication: Clear conveyance of complex ideas. Fluent in English

• Project Management: Organizational and multitasking abilities. Structured mindset. Willingness to drive towards completion.

• Collaboration: Effective teamwork.

• Adaptability: Staying updated with new technologies.
