Configuration Engineer to Fuel Cell Technology Sweden
Could you be the Configuration Engineer we’re looking for? Would you take on a new challenge and apply your configuration and change engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field?
FCT Sweden is a Swedish innovation company that develops highly qualified fuel cells. Our main product, the micro fuel cell Lamina, has a unique design that allows it to be mounted in limited spaces where ordinary fuel cells cannot fit. At the same time, Lamina delivers the highest possible energy density per volume and surface area, which makes it ideal for e.g. e-bikes, logistics robots (AGV) and driverless trucks (AMR).
We have a lot going on and need to expand our development team of 20 people with an Configuration Engineer. You will be a member of a multinational team based at our headquarters in Upplands Väsby.
Your future role
You will work alongside collaborative and humble teammates and contribute by managing and monitoring the changes in development projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, all the way from bid management to production and verification of technical systems, technical investigations and much more.
You’ll take care of configuration and change in projects, but also grow in areas which you are interested in and suit the company needs.
In this role your responsibilities would be
- Leading the Configuration and Change Management (CCM) activities in projects
- Create, implement, update, and maintain the Configuration Management Plan and corresponding documents in collaboration with project team members
- Organize and lead change control boards (CCB)
- Ensure that applicable tools for configuration and change management are used and manage access rights for them
- Ensure that the CCM deliverables for the project model is executed and managed according to project model’s quality gates
- Guiding the team to work according to defined processes including project tracking
- Communicate and follow-up directly with suppliers
- Support to Program Management

- Degree in Engineering field and/or understanding of system design including electronics, software and hardware in the automotive, aerospace, medical or other similar complex industry.
- Hands on experience in configuration and change management
- Knowledge of configuration and change processes and tools
- Jira Program Management Software experience
- Structured mindset
- Communicative
- Fluent in English
